The minutes of the November meeting
The meeting was held on November 20th, 2001 at 6:30 P.M. at the 0 Nosso Restaurant, Taunton Green, Taunton, MA.
Members present: President - Henry Mello, Vice President-Lewis Pacheco, Treasurer - John Pereira, Secretary -Eric Pimental, Sergio Cardoza, Alfred Costa, James Griffith, Antonio Jardin, Alan B. Medeiros, Carlos Melo David Moitoza, Victor Santos, and William Silva and Thomas Souza.
Excused: John Garanito, Lincoln DeMoura Members absent: Arthur Cabral, Joseph F.deMello, Anthony Lopes, Antonio Macedo, Rev. Arnold Medeiros and Donald Rounds

Committee Discussions:
Man of the Year Recommendations are being solicited at this time as the committee would like to finalize the process early in the New Year

Membership Confirmation of 22 members of the Taunton Chapter.

Report of the State Committee was provided by Dr. Griffith

Unfinished Business
Sergio Cardoza reported back to the group that the donation previously made to the Portuguese School was utilized to purchase books and the organization was satisfied with the funds made available to them.

President's Report
There was a discussion on making a donation to aid the victims of 9/11. The membership moved and unanimously agreed to render financial aid to assist the local St. Francis Samaritan House.
